Programme: Programme on preparation of balance sheet and P/L accounts with accounting control tools

Target Participants: Accounts Manager/ Accounts Assistants of ARDBs & WBSCARDB Ltd.

Objective of the Programme: The programme is prepared with a target to develop the knowledge of accounting concepts and introduction to uniform control tools for all the PCARDBs. In the low technological adoption environment of the PCARDBs, this programme is primarily based on the accounting norms as imposed by the APEX bank with adherence to NABARD time to time. The programme also aims to regularize the paradigm shift from manual accounting to excel based preparation of accounting components.

Programme Coverage:

  • Day to day management of Accounts including managing Intra office issues as
    also dealing with Regulatory authorities e.g.
  • Basic Accounting Principles – Heads of Accounts, Accounting Components, Books
    of Accounts, Balance Sheet and P/L Items Etc.
  • Prudential Norms for income recognition, Asset classification & Provisioning
  • Trial Balance, P&L a/c, Balance Sheet, Settlement/ adjustment of items
    appearing therein, IBR, BRS, Cash Account, monthly statements etc.,
    Provisioning , Compliance, Timeline
  • Fund Management – Concept, resource planning, Income and Investment
    planning, types of investments etc.
  • Accounting of Deposit portfolio
